WhatsApp for Jio Phone, Jio Phone 2 is now available for download on the 4G feature phones. WhatsApp and Reliance Jio announced suppport for the instant messaging platform on both the devices running on KaiOS. Jio Phone users can download WhatsApp app from the Jio AppStore starting September 10, 2018, the company said. WhatsApp for Jio Phone was scheduled to launch on August 15, 2018 alongside Facebook and YouTube. While YouTube and Facebook launched on Independence Day, Jio informed that WhatsApp support will be available in the coming days. With WhatsApp support, Jio Phone users can now text, send images, videos, voice notes like other Android and iPhones.
Alongside with JioPhone 2 launch, Reliance Jio has also announced Monsoon Hungama offer. Under this offer, you could exchange your old feature phone for a new JioPhone at an effective entry price of Rs 501. The telco has yet to reveal the fine print of this deal. This offer will also go live on 15th August 2018.
